Abstract
This study is motivated by the low motivation and learning achievement of students in class IV SD Negeri 1 Kebanggan. This study aims to improve the motivation and learning achievement of students in learning Indonesian through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in class IV SD Negeri 1 Kebanggan. This research method uses the type of Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles, one cycle consists of 2 meetings. Based on the results of the study, the learning motivation of students in cycle I obtained an average of 70.8 with a completeness percentage of 37% poor criteria, cycle II obtained an average of 78.6 with a percentage of 75% good criteria. The application of the Problem Based Learning model can improve the learning achievement of students can be seen in the completeness of students in cycle I is 37% increased to 75% in cycle II. Thus it can be concluded that the use of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in learning Indonesian can increase the motivation and learning achievement of fourth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Kebanggan.
