EFFORTS TO IMPROVE LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT AND COLLABORATION USING A PROBLEM BASED LEARNING MODEL ON BUILDING SPACE MATERIAL IN CLASS IV

Abstract
This study was motivated by the low learning achievement and collaboration skills of students in class IV SD Negeri 1 Bojongsari. This study aims to improve the low learning achievement and collaboration skills of students in the mathematics subject of building space material through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. This research is a type of Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles, one cycle consists of 2 meetings, each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Bojongsari with a total of 20 students. Based on the results of the study, the application of the PBL model can improve the learning achievement of students can be seen in the completeness of students in cycle I is 47.5% increased to 82.5% in cycle II. Student collaboration skills in cycle I obtained a percentage of 55% with poor criteria, cycle II obtained a percentage of 80% with good criteria. This shows that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model can improve learning achievement and collaboration skills of fourth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Bojongsari
